Kaede Ichinose (一ノ瀬かえで) is a character in the Aikatsu on Parade! series and was one of the main characters in the first season of the Aikatsu! series. She is a graduate of Starlight School. Kaede is a pop-type idol whose preferred brand is Magical Toy.
Bio[]
Appearance[]
Kaede has cropped, curly red hair and rosy-pink eyes. Her hair is usually held together with a silver pin that has a gold diamond. She also usually wears a brown choker and a white bracelet.
Personality[]
Having come from America, Kaede uses a lot of English phrases and has a habit of kissing people she meets on the cheek. She is friendly, energetic and extroverted, as well as extremely brave.
Background[]
Kaede transferred into Starlight School to become Mizuki's partner in Tristar. A returnee and super idol, Kaede comes from America where she has appeared in many commercials for her father's high-class American sushi chain, "Kaede Sushi" and was a part of a popular idol-based show called "Kids' Club".
Relationships[]
- Kaede's fellow Tristar member. Kaede invited Yurika to pair up for the Partners Cup. And has had a tight bond since, later forming their duo-unit, Magic Blood.
- Kaede's fellow Tristar member. Kaede later took Mizuki's Tristar Member Tournament top a notch in order to become in the same unit as she is. Prior to Kaede's first appearance in the anime, the two were already friends.
- Kaede tends to call Ichigo "Strawberry" (the English translation). Kaede is Ichigo's go-to girl, and was Ichigo's influence to visit America.
Etymology[]
Kaede (かえで) means 'maple' or 'maple leaf'.
Ichinose (一ノ瀬) is a historical Japanese family name. It is derived from a place's name which means "first river-crossing-point," where se (瀬) means shallows or rapids.

- Kaede is the first main character to have gotten a premium rare coord prior to their debut in the anime.
- She is also the only first-generation main character to have received her premium coord prior to her debut.
- She is the first main character to not have her journey to obtain a Premium Rare shown in present time.
- Despite being a main character, Kaede has the least number of appearances both in anime and performance, mostly only appearing as a background or minor character.
- If one includes the Music Awards as part of the anime, she is the first main character to never be seen using her basic coord.
- She is also the only main character who has never had a solo performance.
- She is also the first main character to debut in her Premium Rare coord followed by Seira Otoshiro, Sora Kazesawa, Maria Himesato, Juri Kurebayashi, Miyabi Fujiwara & Kokone Kurisu respectively.
- She shares her singing voice with Kī Saegusa, who shares her type (Pop) and favored brand (Magical Toy), as well as star sign (Sagittarius).
