Maria Himesato (姫里マリア) is a character in the Aikatsu on Parade! series and was one of the main characters in the second season of the Aikatsu! series. She is a student at Dream Academy. Maria is a cute-type idol whose preferred brand is Aurora Fantasy.

Appearance[]
Maria has caramel-colored hair that is styled into ringlets with a portion held up with a flower hairband. She has dark purple eyes and fair skin.
Personality[]
Maria is a kind, gentle and soft-spoken girl who is also very considerate and caring.
Background[]
Maria is the daughter of a wealthy family who owns a farm in the highlands, which was where she grew up. The family's mansion is located deep within the mountains nearby.
One day, when one of Tiara Yumesaki's students were having a photoshoot in the mountains, Maria was interested in their activities. Noticing that Tiara needed refreshments, Maria ran down the mountains to where Tiara was, holding a glass of fresh milk. Tiara saw great potential within Maria when she ran down the hill while radiating, and scouted her to join Dream Academy.
Relationships[]
- Sora is Maria's dear friend and classmate who is also enrolled in Dream Academy. The two had trained and participated in many lessons, as well as appeared in many television shows and advertisements together.
- During the Partners' Finding Party, Maria and Otome had chosen each other for the final round and became each other's partners for the Partners' Cup. In order to continue their friendship and to get to know her better, Maria visited Otome at the kindergarten she grew up in, listening to Otome's childhood tales while helping out at the school.
- Maria and Sakura share their love for their preferred brand, Aurora Fantasy and became great friends.
Etymology[]
Hime (姫) means Princess, referencing to her being an "ojō-sama" and Sato (里) means village; most likely referring to her home in the mountains which is located near a village.
Maria (マリア) has many translations. In Latin it can mean "wished for child" or "star of the sea". Despite the name's non-Japanese origin, it has decent popularity as a girl's name in Japan.

- Maria is the second main idol to share not just her brand with another idol, but also her singer.
- She and Sakura later share their singing voice with Sora and Kokone Kurisu.
- Maria is the fourth person to debut in her Premium Rare Coord and the sixth to not debut in her basic coord.
