Mieru Himeno (姫乃みえる) is one of the main protagonists in the Aikatsu Academy! series. She is a second year student at Aikatsu Academy and a member of its Streaming Club. Mieru is a cute type idol whose preferred brand is her self-created brand, Cherish Letter.

Appearance[]
Mieru has long pink hair reaching her hips, with curls on the end. Her hair is tied into braids, with two hearts on the sides, decorated with small white ribbons and big magenta bows. She has light pink eyes with heart highlights.
Personality[]
Mieru is a dainty and talkative girl. She is a hard-working idol with an eye for all things cute but in fact, she also has a deep, dark side.
Background[]
Mieru had dance and ballet experience prior to entering the Academy. Her goal is to become an idol who can brighten everyone's hearts.
Etymology[]
Mieru (みえる) has no particular meaning when written in hiragana but is phonetically the same as the phrase "I can see it" (見える).
Himeno (姫乃) - Hime (姫) means princess and no (乃) is a Chinese character used as a possessive particle, now only used in personal names. Together, her surname can mean "of the princess".
Relationships[]
Meh Mamimu is Mieru's fellow Streaming Club and hélianthe member. They became friends after bumping into each other on the day of the school entrance ceremony, having been lost and unable to find the venue alongside Parin.
They are similar in that both are known to be emotional, and they have good banter and mesh well together. Meh is shown to tease Mieru more often than she does the other members.
Their combo name is "Mamieru" (まみえる).
Parin Wao is Mieru's fellow Streaming Club and hélianthe member. They became friends after bumping into each other on the day of the school entrance ceremony, having been lost and unable to find the venue alongside Meh.
They have opposite personalities, with Mieru being introverted and an indoor person while Parin is extroverted and outdoorsy. It took longer for them to become close compared to the other members, but now they can often be seen messing around with each other during streams.
Their combo name is "MiePari" (みえっパリ or みえパリ).
Taimu Rindou is Mieru's fellow Streaming Club and hélianthe member, as well as her partner as Dear Destiny. They first met at the audition for Aikatsu Academy and became friends after reuniting on the day of the entrance ceremony.
They share the commonality of being extreme Aikatsu! otakus.
Upon seeing Taimu for the first time, Mieru contemplated the idea of forming a unit with her, something that would eventually come to fruition when they were decided to become duo unit partners.
Their combo name is "MieTamu" (みえたむ).

Mieru primarily focuses on chatting streams, although she plays games on occasion, usually of the adventure genre. She often hosts simultaneous viewings of the Aikatsu! Series as it airs weekly on the official anime channel and talks with her viewers about her thoughts on each episode. As an idol, Mieru also commonly holds singing streams.
A unique characteristic of Mieru's streams is that she often features her own hand-drawn illustrations. Mieru is also fond of character work and changing her voice to play different roles, as seen in her "Himeno Village News" (ひめの村通信 Himenomura Tsūshin) series where she acts as four people at once.

- Alluding to her affinity for cute things, Mieru's birthday falls on Cute Day, as the digits 9/10 can be read in Japanese as kyū-tō (きゅうとう cute).
