Parin Wao (和央パリン, Parin Wao) is one of the main protagonists in the Aikatsu Academy! series. She is a first year student at Aikatsu Academy and a member of its Streaming Club. Parin is a pop type idol whose preferred brand is her self-created brand, PiPiPiPlayer!

Parin has sky blue and orange hair that reaches down to her thighs with string-like bangs and part of it tied up into two bow-shaped buns.

Parin comes from a sporty family with a younger brother and played soccer prior to entering the Academy. Her goal is to become like the sun and shine upon everyone.

Etymology

Parin (パリン, Parin) is the Japanese onomatopoeia for a crisp, cracking or breaking sound (like that of an egg).

Wao (和央, Wao) - Wa (和, Wa) means harmonious, but can also be used to mean "Japanese" or "Japanese style". O (央, hisashi) means center or middle. It is phonetically similar to the word "wow".
